Lexham Press Welcomes New Books and Authors

on April 10, 2018

Lexham Press is excited to welcome a number of new authors and their books to the Lexham family!

This spring, we were approached with the unique opportunity to purchase the catalog of?Weaver Book Company. Founded in 2013, WBC has provided pastors and other church leaders with thoughtful and practical works on understanding the Bible, preaching, theological topics, and cultural issues. This includes celebrated authors like Warren Wiersbe, Leland Ryken, and Walt Kaiser, Jr., as well as award-winning titles like enGendered?(Sam Andreades), WORLD magazine?s 2015 Book of the Year, and The Language of Salvation?(Victor Kuligin), Christianity Today?s 2015 Book of the Year finalist.

Weaver?s high-caliber authors and catalog of more than fifty quality books aligns very well with Lexham Press?s audience and mission. As Jim Weaver, the founder of Weaver Book Company, put it, ?I am delighted to share this good news because Lexham shares so well WBC?s vision of publishing quality works for the sake of the church.? In fact, our interests and vision align so well that Jim will now be working with the rest of the Lexham team in an editorial capacity. Brannon Ellis, Lexham?s Publisher, echoes this sentiment: ?I?m thrilled Jim approached us with this opportunity. We at Lexham are looking forward to the chance to partner with Jim and each of these authors to see how the Lord will accomplish his work through the work of their hands and ours.?

One of the most exciting opportunities this opens up for Lexham readers is that we will now be able to make these books available to be sold and read through the Logos Bible Software platform for the first time. Like all Logos resources, they?ll be richly tagged and hyperlinked to allow readers to leverage the most robust resources for their studies and sermon preparation.?These titles will also continue to be available in print.
