Today is the day! Over the past few weeks we held a coloring contest for the chance to win three FatCat books: the well-loved first book, The Apostles’ Creed, plus our two new books coming this fall, The Lord’s Prayer and The King of Christmas.
All entries were divided into three different age brackets (0–6 yrs, 7–12 yrs, and 13 yrs +), with a winner for each. Today they are all announced! Each winner is displayed below with a comment from FatCat illustrator, Natasha Kennedy.
0–6 years
Winner: Gideon K.
Comment from Natasha Kennedy: “I love the bright and bold colors! You picked colors that made everything pop, and I love the shiny gold halo on Jesus. Great Job!”
7–12 years
Winner: Madeline N.
Comment from Natasha Kennedy: “The colors are astounding! Remarkable shading on the faces and scenery, and I love the attention to detail and diversity amongst the people. I could not have done better myself. Look at that sunset sky!”
13+ years
Winner: Carrie M.
Comment from Natasha Kennedy: “I am in love with the unified color scheme and texturing. I am very drawn to these muted colors which bring emphasis to all the right places. The subtle shading is also very beautiful. Well done!”
Thanks to everyone who took the time to color and submit their entries. Every submission was wonderful and it was very hard selecting one winner per category. If you are one of the winners, you (or your parent/guardian) will hear from us so that we can get your mailing address to send you books!
